Induction

New Volunteer Inductions

Our membership secretary, together with our Vice chair met our newest volunteers to welcome them to the charity and complete their induction training.

With plenty of coffee, Tea and of course doughnuts, a great time was had by all learning about the charity and getting to grips with the process of becoming a volunteer rider.  It is always a pleasure to meet new volunteers and welcome them into the charity, which enables us to go from strength to strength.

The wealth of both riding and life experience that new volunteers brings to the charity is always welcomed, and our latest volunteers are well on their way to becoming Blood Bikers, so you should see them on the roads of Cornwall very soon!

We are always looking for volunteers to join us, whether you ride or not.  We have current vacancies to coordinators and fundraisers as well as riders.  If you feel that you can spare some time to help us continue to provide the very best service to our communities in Cornwall head over to the join us page and get in touch…

Cheque Presentation

Liskeard Constitutional Club Donate to CBB

Alan Chowing and I were invited to the Liskeard Constitutional Club on Tuesday 24th March to receive a cheque for us of £1200 and 3 full donation boxes amounting to £148.80 giving a grand total of 1348.80 which is staggering.

We were greeted by the LCC’s very charming Angie Broughton and introduced to members attending their AGM.

We spoke for some time about what the CBB Charity does, who it serves, how it works and some of the stories of how we have made a difference. We owe a huge chunk of our thanks to the ladies who sort out the coffee mornings and have been tremendously proactive with the fundraising.

The LCC also held a Quiz on Saturday 14th March in aid of the CBB which we were unable to attend but should they have another quiz planned I will get a team together, leave the bikes at home and have a beer.
