Skydive Donation

Phil Whitfeld, Cornwall Pride Chair will reach the ripe old age of 60 soon. He says that he likes to think of it as 50 years plus VAT…!

To celebrate this occasion Phil did a sponsored skydive from high up in the clouds all in the aid of 2 fantastic organisations in Cornwall, Cornwall Pride and Cornwall Blood Bikes.

We were very proud to accept a donation from Phil for £700 at this years Cornwall Pride event. What an amazing achievement, both on an amazing event, but also for raising a massive amount of money for us which will help to ensure that our service continues to support and benefit the communities in Cornwall.

From all at Cornwall Blood Bikes, thank you so much Phil.

Monday Night Bike Nights

Yes you did hear right, Chapters and Cornwall Blood Bikes are intending to extend our Monday Social Evenings / Bike Nights through to the end of the year, with a place sit down in the evening for a natter, indulging with hot beverages at Darren’s (Chapters) which we all have come accustom too.

However on another note, Monday 31st August there will be NO Bike Night due to scheduled electrical maintenance on the Estate. Our humble apologies for this hiccup.

So our next Bike Night will resume as normal on the Monday 7th September starting at 18:00hrs

Lions

Lions Club of St. Austell donate

After an informative and entertaining talk by Mark Holroyd of Cornwall Bloodbikes at a recent Lions Club of St. Austell meeting, the Club decided to donate £1000 to this good cause. They are a group of self-funding volunteers operating as a registered charity to provide a free ‘out of hours’ delivery service to the NHS throughout Cornwall.
