Cornwall Blood Bikes continue to give talks throughout Cornwall

Cornwall Blood Bikes and our volunteers love spreading the awareness of what we do as a charity and how we provide our service to our NHS partners across Cornwall, delivering and collecting from hospitals and hospices across the Southwest.
Because we operate out of hours the work can go largely unnoticed and when we get the chance to explain our workings the general public seem to be fascinated by our organisation and the fact that it is all for free and run entirely by volunteers who really do go the extra mile.
On March the 28th one of our volunteer advanced fleet bike riders Clive Addington went along to Four Lanes Wednesday Club to give a presentation about our charity.
As always he was made very welcome and treated with great hospitality.
The members seemed very interested in our role and numerous took the opportunity to sit on one of the fleet bikes for a photo opportunity.
The club had a collection at the end and also donated the proceeds from the fee charged for the photos.
On behalf of the charity we would like to offer our warm thanks to the group.
Clive was a bit worried about being joint arbiter of the Easter bonnet competition, but no harm seemed to be done!
