June 4, 2019CBB attends The Cornwall Masonic Presentation Day
On Sunday 19th May Cornwall Blood Bikes representatives Vice Chair Jayne Penlerick and Fundraising Manager Ian Butler were kindly invited to attend the Cornwall Masonic Annual Provincial Charity Day 2019.
We always enjoy greatly the annual provincial charity day but this one was truly exceptional, and a great success for all charities that were fortunate enough to be invited to attend.
The location of which the presentation afternoon was set in was truly outstanding, it was located in the magnificent backdrop of the Great Hall, King Arthur Lodge room at Tintagel.
Ian and Jayne joined representatives from fifty other charities to witness the Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Stephen C Pearne along with various other lodge representatives make their presentations.
The organisations represented were incredible from the RNLI, Cornwall air Ambulance, Cornwall Hospice Care, The Neonatal Unit at RCHT, League of Friends at Helston Hospital, Launceston Memory Cafe, Cystic Fibrosis and much much more.
About half way through the presentation ceremony Ian and Jayne had the honour of being invited up to join the Provincial Grand Master for the Province of Cornwall, Stephen C Pearne to receive a cheque for £500.00 from the Cornwall Masonic Charitable Foundation, we were then presented with £1,000.00 from Brethren from The Lodge of the Chisel.
This is a wonderful sum of money which will go a long way to ensuring our wheels continue to turn and deliver our FREE service around our marvellous County to our hospitals and hospices, in turn helping to improve patient care and bring that care much closer to home.
This afternoon was a shining example of the remarkable work and contributions from the Masonic Charitable Foundation and the Brethren from The Province of Cornwall supporting charities and groups in need. These are much needed funds to all local Cornish Charities within our local communities.
2019 saw the Province of Cornwall give away a breathtaking £61,953.67 to fifty one charities in just over an hour.
A very big thank you from all the volunteers at Cornwall Blood Bikes without organisations without yourself we truly cannot do what we do.
